Funeral/Death Grant for Government Servants in Punjab -
Application Process and Eligibility Criteria
The government of Punjab offers a funeral grant to its employees to help cover funeral expenses in the event of the death of a family member or the employee themselves. This grant is a flat rate of 35,000 PKR, regardless of whether the employee is Gazetted or non-Gazetted.
Eligibility Criteria:
The funeral/death grant is eligible for:
- Gazetted (Part-I) government servants
- Non-gazetted (Part-II) government servants
- Dependents of gazetted and non-gazetted government servants
Application Process:
To apply for the funeral grant, the following steps must be taken:
1. Submit an application through the parent's office within three years of the death.
2. Attach a CNIC copy of the applicant/government employee and a death certificate issued by the Town Committee/Union Council.
3. Ensure that the application is submitted to the parent department within 275 days.
4. The application will then be forwarded to the concerned Benevolent Fund Board for processing.
